This tutorial is adapted from the first part of Chapter 1 in Mastering the Clinical Conversation: Language as Intervention. You will be introduced to relational frame theory, contextual behavioral science, and functional contextualism. You will also learn about the importance of language in therapy and how RFT approaches language and cognition as a learned behavior.

This tutorial is adapted from the second part of Chapter 1 in Mastering the Clinical Conversation: Language as Intervention. You will learn the basic principles of RFT: the principles of intrinsic and symbolic relating and deriving, transformation of function, and rules.
